Koumaria Villa nestles amidst a vineyard only 2.5 km from Ithaca’s charming capital, Vathy and the same distance from the nearest beach. Apart from its exterior and location which has it built a bit higher up the slope and offering better view, it is also a single storey floor plan unlike its neighbors, and its ground floor plan quite similar to Agrambeli Villa’s.

From its front windows and spacious terraces this lovely property boasts grand panoramas over the surrounding countryside of Ithaca (Ithaki) and an excellent unimpeded sea view.

Koumaria villa has been built according to the traditional architecture of Ithaca Island using coloured plaster. It is a 75m² spacious villa that is comfortably furnished and very tastefully decorated.

Koumaria villas interior is bright and comfy with carefully selected colour schemes in each room, reflecting the tones and shades found on Ithaca Island. They make an outstanding combination with the wooden ceiling. Solid oak floor-boards cover the entire house. Contemporary fittings and furnishings have been selected to complement older pieces of furniture handmade by local craftsmen. These are carefully placed around the ground floor spaces. Koumaria consists of an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen and two bedrooms each with its own bathroom all on one level. Wood and stone are the most commonly used materials in this magnificent villa.

The villa is fully air-conditioned. There is a corner fireplace in the living room and the kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, oven, hotplates, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. The villa has an LCD TV, home cinema, radio and internet connection.

The bedrooms are located in the southern side of the house and have old fashioned wooden wardrobes and iron beds. One bedroom has a double bed, Sea View and access to the villa’s front yard while the other bedroom has 2 single beds with Mountain View and access to the villa’s garden. From the bedroom window one can enjoy the view of the olive groves, the vineyards and the house garden. Great attention has been given to the bathroom facilities and decoration. One bathroom has a bathtub while the other has a shower cabin.

The spacious garden has plenty of olive trees, rosemary, lavender, geranium and other plants and trees. What is most important, however, is the privacy it offers to its guest who may spend an undisturbed holiday in the island of Ithaca. The gardens provide the house with privacy but it enjoys one of the finest views on the island, out across the Inner Ionian Sea to the mountains of the mainland.
